Introduction
 

This data was presented at the satellite symposium on International Garlic Research, at the 6th International Congress on Phytotherapy, in conjunction with the European Scientific Co-operative for Phytotherapy held at The Free University of Berlin.

These proceedings summarise the most recent work, carried out around the world into the properties of a dried garlic powder product and its aqueous extracts. Data was also presented on new novel modes of action for garlic powder, as well as further details on its pharmacological properties and clinical activity, and importance in cardiovascular medicine.
